Sitting on the curb on Zhongshan Road, I wallowed in the trough of sadness.
It had started to go downhill when I got pickpocketed in Osaka, on my second-to-last day in Japan. It threw a bit of a wrench in me continuing on to Taiwan, the second leg of a mostly solo trip in Asia.
